I am retiring soon, however, like many people, my retirement will be a working one for as long as possible. As a yoga teacher, I love my work, have been doing it for more than 20 years, and it helps people. There’s every reason to continue teaching and earning a little income. The skill of leading a group of people from scattered and anxious attention to clarity, peace and being able to breath deeply, is more of an art. I know that my time is well spent because I am bringing something essential to the world.
This isn’t an egotistical statement – it is fact. There is a ripple effect that I see – it isn’t me that’s causing it, it is their yoga practice. People willingly come to class, follow my lead, and connect at a deep level with themselves and the others in their group. This group then goes home or out into the world with that feeling they captured from their practice.
Feelings create an energy that is projected – those who are empathic or energetically sensitive feel it, may be aware of it too. Even if you aren’t sensitive, something subtle is happening. You might feel a little happier or brighter because you were in that person’s presence.
You could also compare it to listening to a song you enjoy, or pause to hear birds chirping outdoors.
So I will be teaching until I’m in my 90’s for sure, maybe 100. Keep in touch here. Designing my website and blog on WordPress is not very costly, it also may not be that professional – neither are my videos, but I would rather get the information available than not do it and I am doing it on a budget!
