Holiday Greetings!

It’s the holiday season and I have been absent from writing for a time. I have been busy living and enjoying more freedom now that I’m back to being self employed and semi-retired. The self-employment part is a stable schedule of teaching yoga and other income producing activities here and there. It has been a focus to find balance again after working a 40-week schedule before.

I find that if I don’t work enough outside of my home, I tend to let things go at home. It’s funny that we need a certain amount of structure in our lives that brings variety to balance out the very peaceful setting I have at home. It took me awhile to want to get out more, but I find I am enjoying interacting with people very much and enjoy all of my work. This December, I took a seasonal job to be around shoppers! It seems so unlike what I imagined I would be doing, but I truly enjoy greeting people I don’t know yet.

I’m also studying ACE Personal Training Certification course. I committed to lifetime learning decades ago and find that it keeps the brain fit to learn. Speaking of fitness, I’m walking a lot more now and that has also tremendously helped not only my physical fitness, but my mood as well.

I will be teaching 5 yoga classes coming up in January. Most of them are Yoga and Strength class. My schedule is posted on the home page here and I’m thrilled to continue to offer it on one more day. The class has been a great success for people wanting to increase or maintain their strength and flexibility as well as the mind/body benefits that yoga and strength work provides. I would love to have you join me! Please email me if you would like to try a complementary class! Enjoy your time with family during this holiday season.
